Organizers say the series has been created to bring together writers who believe that poetry is essential and that “it would be a better world if someone were to surround us with poetry.” The program was developed in collaboration with the English honor society Sigma Tau Delta and organizations for student writers.

Poets should submit their work electronically to John Ernest, chair of the English department, at jrernest@udel.edu.
