UD Homecoming 2013 Pep Rally moved to Carpenter Sports Building

11:20 a.m., Oct. 10, 2013--Due to the inclement weather expected Friday, the location of the second annual University of Delaware Homecoming Pep Rally has been changed from the Laird Campus turf field to Gym 2 at the Carpenter Sports Building.

The gym is across from the rock-climbing wall in the building, which is also known as the Little Bob.

Oct. 30: McNabb address, panel discussion

F. William McNabb, chairman and CEO of Vanguard, will speak at the University of Delaware on Oct. 30, with the presentation to be followed by a panel discussion on board composition.

Oct. 30: Perspectives art series

The University of Delaware's Lauren Petersen, professor of art history, will be featured in the University Museums' Perspectives speaker series from 12:30-1:15 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Old College Gallery.

Starting at 4:30 p.m. there will be special student performances by Deltronica and DJ Slipcase, Dark Arts, Kevin McCove, who is a member of the Class of 2012, and more.

The pep rally will be emceed by Scott Klatzkin, a 2007 graduate and the radio play-by-play announcer for the UD football and men’s basketball teams. 

The event will feature appearances by coaches and student-athletes, with short remarks by head football coach Dave Brock. Other special guests include YoUDee, the UD Dance Team and the UD Cheerleaders. 

Guests are encouraged to wear blue and gold to the free event. 

Bus service to the Little Bob is available for students living on East and West campuses.
