Nov. 6: Network Delaware Day
UD, MAGPI and Internet2 to host Network Delaware Day at Trabant
11:30 a.m., Oct. 11, 2013--The University of Delaware, along with MAGPI (Metropolitan Area GigaPoP in Philadelphia for Internet2) and Internet2, will host “Network Delaware: Advancing Research and Education Initiatives Across the First State” from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Multipurpose Room C of the Trabant University Center. Lunch will be provided by Aruba Networks.
The free event is open to educators, administrators, IT staff, researchers and students from research and educational institutions across Delaware. It aims to provide resources and enhance knowledge and understanding about advanced networks and available tools and services for organizations in Delaware.

According to Anita Schwartz, IT Client Support and Services, the day will feature keynote sessions by Eric Boyd, deputy technical officer at Internet2; Greg Palmer, executive director at MAGPI; and Jason Cash, director of IT Network and Systems Services Infrastructure at UD.
Breakout sessions will feature three tracks of interest to various communities, including a K20/libraries track, a health care track, and a UD research/faculty spotlight track.
