Active Minds announces Mental Health Awareness Week events

10:18 a.m., Oct. 3, 2013--The University of Delaware Active Minds organization will hold a series of events Oct. 6-12 as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.

Stomp Out Stigma will be held Monday, Oct. 7, at the Trabant University Center.

New endeavor

UD President Patrick T. Harker announced March 2 that he will step down as president to become president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. His new appointment is effective July 1.

A hospitable job market

A record number of companies attended the 23rd annual Hospitality Management Career Fair, hosted this week by the University of Delaware's Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management.

Active Minds will hold a club meeting at 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 8, in 115 Gore Hall.

A screening of the film Silver Linings Playbook will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, in 116 Gore Hall.

On Thursday, Oct. 10, the club will offer free and confidential depression screenings at the Trabant University Center.
