UD Honors Program to hold Halloween dance at Bacchus Theatre

9:34 a.m., Oct. 23, 2013--The University of Delaware Honors Program will hold its annual Halloween dance from 9-11 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1, in the Bacchus Theatre of the Perkins Student Center.

The event will feature candy, prizes, contests and music by DJ Z. Winners will be selected for the best candy-themed costume, “most scariest” costume, best superhero or supervillain costume, best group costume and most original costume.

Bioengineering pioneer James J. Collins of MIT will highlight recent efforts to create synthetic gene networks and programmable cells to advance diagnostic testing and disease treatment during the Edward G. Jefferson Life Sciences Lecture on May 3.

May 3: Culture and cuisine

On May 3, UD's Master Players Concert Series will present the final World Kitchen Series dinner and mixer event, featuring international artist Emad Jano Hemeda.

The event is free, however donations are encouraged with all proceeds to benefit the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation and UD’s Center for Disabilities Studies.
