Blue Hen coaches Brock, Martin to kick off HealthyU walk, run
2:50 p.m., Oct. 1, 2013--University of Delaware football coach Dave Brock and women’s basketball coach Tina Martin will be on hand to kick off festivities at the HealthyU 5-kilometer run and walk to be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3.
Members of the campus community are encouraged to meet the coaches and enjoy the fall weather, while also stepping off for health.

The event, sponsored by the Office of Human Resources’ Employee Wellness Program, is open to all UD faculty, staff and student, as well as members of the community.
“Whether you have run 100 races or this is your first, a 5K (3.1 mile) walk or run is a great way to enjoy a fun, healthy evening,” a program representative said.
The course will start at Lovett Avenue and Academy Street, travel through East Campus, follow the James Hall Trail and end on The Green. On-line registration is now closed but paper registration forms are available through the Employee Wellness office.
Day-of-race registration will be available beginning at 4:30 p.m., Oct. 3, on The Green in front of Evans Hall. Entry fee is $20.
