Graduate Student Gala offers REP's 'Servant of Two Masters'

3:07 p.m., Oct. 23, 2013--The third annual University of Delaware Graduate Student Gala will feature an evening at the theatre as the Resident Ensemble Players stage Carlo Goldoni’s The Servant of Two Masters on Friday evening, Nov. 15, in the Thompson Theatre of the Roselle Center for the Arts.

The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a reception at 6 p.m. at 44 Kent Way.

Sept. 3: Sculptor to discuss work

Visiting scholar Cameron Hockenson will discuss his work during a lecture to be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 3, in Room 101 of the University of Delaware's Studio Arts Building.

Sept. 3-Dec. 7: 'Delaware Awake!'

A new exhibition titled "Delaware Awake! World War I at Home and Abroad" will run from Sept. 3 through Dec. 7 at the University of Delaware's Old College West Gallery.

Limited seating is available and those who plan to attend are encouraged to purchase tickets early. Tickets cost $12 for UD graduate students and guests and the price includes a $2 donation to the United Way.

The ticket deadline is Nov. 1, after which any remaining tickets will be released to the public. For tickets, see the website.

The ticket price includes the reception, which will feature food and drink.

Hilarity abounds in The Servant of Two Masters, a madcap comedy of lovers, lawyers, servants and 27 plates of meatballs. The presentation has been adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher and Paolo Emilio Landi, who also will direct.

The gala is being presented by the UD Graduate Student Government and the Office of Graduate and Professional Education in collaboration with the Resident Ensemble Players.
