Free Lunch Friday series announces entrepreneur visits for November

1:14 p.m., Oct. 31, 2013--The University of Delaware Entrepreneurship Club (E-Club), in collaboration with the Horn Program in Entrepreneurship, invites members of the campus community to whet their entrepreneurial appetites by attending the November Free Lunch Friday speaker series.

Each Friday at 12:15 p.m., students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the University are invited to attend a 15-20 minute presentation on an aspect of entrepreneurship, followed by a 30-minute question and answer session.

April 16, 18: Fighting hunger

Joining forces to aid underprivileged families in the First State, the University of Delaware's Department of Communication and the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity are accepting contributions for their biannual food drive this week.

April 16: Art history lecture

Art historian Christiane Gruber will speak April 16 about contemporary Iranian visual culture and images of the Prophet Muhammad.

The events are free and open to the public, but seating is on a first-come, first served basis. Lunch and refreshments are free to attendees.

  • Nov. 1, Alfred Lerner Hall Atrium: Leigh Ann Tona, a UD graduate and owner and founder of “I Don’t Give a Fork” food truck.
  • Nov. 8, Gallery of the Perkins Student Center: Zach Phillips, founder and director at The Kitchen.
  • Nov. 15, Alfred Lerner Hall Atrium, Pitch Party competition.
  • Nov. 22: Bruce Georgov, owner of Independent Transfer Operations and Klondike Kate’s.
