Reviresco June run

UD ROTC cadets will run from New York City to Miami this month to raise awareness about veterans' affairs.

Held on the central Green, in front of Memorial Hall, the event provided a festive occasion for juniors to celebrate the halfway point of their college careers, and also the halfway mark toward becoming UD alumni.

The day was filled with “halves” -- food included half blue/half yellow cookies, pretzel, banana and orange halves; half blue/half yellow Rice Krispies treats; and half chocolate/half vanilla cake.

Juniors sipped on Arnold Palmer drinks (half lemonade/half ice tea) and mochas (half coffee/half hot chocolate) while DJ Amaze played half of popular songs.

Students enjoyed lawn games throughout the event and giveaways included the Class of 2015 shirt and half blue/half yellow beach balls. The Class of 2015 “Blue Hens Forever” banner was displayed for students to view and to sign if they had yet to.

More than 40 teams entered in the bracket-style half-legged races. Participants all received a half blue/half gold class of 2015 “pinnie.” Juniors Tyler Dolgos and Amanda Mouser were the winning team in this year’s half-legged race and each received a prize pack including Main Street gift cards. Finishing a close second were juniors Denise Cirelli and Corey Holloway, who also received a prize pack.
