UD students enjoy Halloween safely during late-night celebration
12:37 p.m., Nov. 7, 2013--Amidst tombstones, skulls and a bowl of “eyeballs” floating in bloodlike red punch, crowds of University of Delaware students celebrated Halloween at a special event held Thursday, Oct. 31, in the Trabant University Center.
The Halloween Extravaganza, sponsored by Student Wellness and Health Promotion, provided students with a safe late night party venue.

More than 300 attendees danced, ate festive food and enjoyed a range of free activities including a fortune teller, caricatures and a DJ until 1 a.m. The night also featured a costume contest.
“We are so pleased to be able to provide students with an opportunity to party in a risk free environment this Halloween,” said Regina Phillips, outreach coordinator for Student Wellness and Health Promotion. “Special thanks to the UD Police Department, UD Catering, Icon DJs, Light Action, Edwards Entertainment, and Party Readers for making the event a success.”
