UD Police seek help identifying shoplifting suspect

4:52 p.m., Nov. 21, 2013--University of Delaware Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man who is suspected of shoplifting at UD's Barnes and Noble Bookstore at 83 East Main St., Newark.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 18, the suspect was in the store and removed several wireless speakers and ear buds. He fled the store and was last seen walking toward the Newark bus hub. 

The suspect is described as 25-30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 210 to 230 pounds. He is balding, with brown hair and a beard, and was last seen wearing jeans, a black short-sleeve T-shirt over a long-sleeve white shirt, black and white sneakers and a black knit hat. While in the store, he was wearing a green/gray jacket and was carrying a gray backpack. 

The suspect has been seen in or near the store several times in the last month.
