Rind appointed director of University auxiliary services

1:32 p.m., Nov. 21, 2013--Richard Rind has been appointed director of auxiliary services at the University of Delaware. 

As director, Rind oversees several units on campus -- Parking and Transportation Services, the University Barnes and Noble Bookstore, the Apple Authorized Campus Store, Dining Services, Conference Services, Marriott’s Courtyard Newark campus hotel, and University Printing.

Industry-ready teaching

UD's HRIM department trains high school teachers in hands-on restaurant industry skills through the National Restaurant Association's ProStart program.

Stellar skaters

Three University of Delaware students turned in stellar individual performances at the U.S. Collegiate Figure Skating Championships.

Rind joined UD in 2011 as director of parking and transportation services. Prior to being named to that position he served as director of business development and client retention for Imperial Parking Inc. of New York from 2008-11 and as regional manager for Standard Parking of New York from 2006-08.

He holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from St. John’s University.

Rind succeeds Margot Carroll, who left UD for a position at Louisiana State University.
