Parking Services enhances service with pay-by-phone displays on smart meters
7:56 a.m., Nov. 6, 2013--University of Delaware motorists who use the pay-by-phone parking services on campus will now see the time purchased and the expiration time displayed on the meter.
Time purchased will display in less than 10 seconds but may show a minute less than purchased due to the seconds lapsed during the data transmission; for example, the display may show 9 minutes remaining for a 10 minute purchase because 9 minutes and 50 seconds remain.

Parking Services encourages customers to compare the expiration time because seconds do not appear on the meter.
Customers should be aware that the PayByPhone location number has changed for every meter. Each meter has an individual location number now, so those who have saved the information in their phones should be sure to update the data.

For those who choose not to use pay-by-phone services or credit or debit cards, quarters will continue to be accepted at all UD meters.
