Nov. 22: IJM Uganda benefit

International Justice Mission plans fair trade event to benefit Uganda


10:50 a.m., Nov. 11, 2013--The International Justice Mission (IJM) student organization at the University of Delaware will hold a special event to benefit Ugandan women and children from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 22, in the Perkins Student Center.

The Fair Trade Friday of Project Have Hope will feature jewelry with beads handcrafted by the women and children of the Acholi Quarter of Uganda, who will benefit from all of the proceeds.

Dec. 1: 'Alice' manuscript

A talk by August A. Imholtz Jr. marking the 150th anniversary of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" will be held at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Class of 1941 Lecture Room in the Morris Library on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

Dec. 2: UD Night at Winterthur

University of Delaware students, faculty and staff are invited to join in the winter festivities at UD Night at Yuletide at Winterthur from 4:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2.
