Nov. 15: Gerster Memorial Lecture

DuPont vice president, UD alumna to deliver Gerster Memorial Lecture

8:59 a.m., Nov. 1, 2013--Karen A. Fletcher, vice president of DuPont Engineering and chief engineer, will deliver the Jack A. Gerster Memorial Lecture from 10-11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 15, at 102 Colburn Laboratory on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

The lecture is presented by UD’s Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.

A four-day event at UD will feature a Syrian artist illustrating how beauty has been shattered by conflict.

Through May 8: 'Things We Do for Love'

UD's Resident Ensemble Players will present Alan Ayckbourn's comedy "Things We Do for Love" through May 8 at the Roselle Center for the Arts.

Fletcher, who received a master’s degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering from UD, will speak on the topic “DuPont Engineering – Collaborating to Solve Global Challenges.”

Fletcher joined DuPont in 1982 and was named to her current position in February.
