Successful diaper drive helps state's babies
11:48 a.m., Nov. 6, 2013--University of Delaware faculty and staff kept Ellen Lepine and Kim Stewart busy sorting and stacking diapers as a result of the Days of Caring diaper drive.
When Debbie Finch from Delaware 2-1-1/Help Me Grow arrived to pick up the diaper donations, she began to cry when she saw the amount of diapers UD had collected.
Applying biosafety standards
"Thank you for spreading the word and helping with this very important effort to fill the diaper closets in the state," Finch said. "We have so many mothers and babies in need, and UD’s donation will make a definite impact. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!!”
The diapers collected on UD’s Lewes campus will help babies in need in the southern part of the state.
The Office of Human Resources team extends a special thank you to Doris Donahue and the Facilities Maintenance and Operations crew who helped make it possible.
