The UD Career Services Center made connections with employers – among them Tiffany and Company, Ann Taylor, Morgan Stanley and Skanska -- with the help of UD alumni.
“It’s such an amazing opportunity,” one student said as she waited for her interview with a representative of Ann Taylor. “I have been researching the company, studying the mission statement, and mentally preparing for the various questions they may ask me. The Career Services Center’s blue handout on interview questions was a huge help as I prepared for today.”
After their interviews, students had the opportunity to enjoy nearby tourist attractions, including Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, Century 21, Broadway and the World Trade Center memorial.
The students later joined UD alumni for dinner on Sunset Terrace at Chelsea Piers, taking advantage of the opportunity to network, a skill critical for professional development.
“It was a long, but rewarding, day,” one student said, as she finished her dinner. “Coming to New York City for on-site interviews was such an incredible experience. It was great to be off campus for a day, see the sights of New York City, network with UD alumni, and interview for my dream job. I’m so glad I had this opportunity.”
