Newark Police announce 12 additional arrests from disorderly crowd incident
8:09 p.m., Nov. 4, 2013--Newark Police have announced 12 additional arrests resulting from the disorderly crowd incident Sept. 9 in Newark.
The arrests were the result of tips received from press releases seeking assistance in identifying several subjects.
The defendants -- all University of Delaware students -- were each charged with disorderly conduct and pedestrian walking along a roadway where sidewalks are provided. They have all been released on their own recognizance pending a future appearance in Newark Alderman Court 40.
Charged were Alexa Birtwistle, 18, of St. Davids, Pa.; Jeffrey Cook, 22, of Chappaqua, N.Y.; Kevin Davis, 20, of Newark, Del.; Heather DeSavino, 22, of River Edge, N.J.; Nicholas Graham, 18, of Bear, Del.; Jonah Green, 18, of Newark, Del.; Keith Green, 19, of Newark, Del.; Clare Murphy, 19, of North Smithfield, R.I.; Michael Perry, 19, of Fayetteville, N.Y.; Jose Tunas, 18, of Carmel, N.Y.; Michael Williams, 19, of Hockessin, Del.; and Aaron Yancey, 21, of Newark, Del.
