Inaugural Undergraduate Research in the Arts program set Friday at ISE Lab

12:59 p.m., May 5, 2014--The inaugural University of Delaware Undergraduate Research in the Arts program will be held Friday, May 9, from 2-5 p.m., on the first floor of the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Laboratory (ISE Lab).

Students will present works of sculpture, painting and choreography created during the 2014 academic year, and many of the works will have a connection to science.

UD's Tom Evans is part of a research group that has been awarded $4.6 million by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to study methods to combat rose rosette disease.

Oct. 30: Nobel Symposium

UD faculty members with expertise in the areas that won 2014 Nobel Prizes will discuss the laureates' work on Oct. 30.

Deborah Hansen, a UD alumna and education associate in visual and performing arts for the Delaware Department of Education, will give the opening remarks.

A reception will follow the students’ presentations. The event is free and open to the public.
