Inaugural Undergraduate Research in the Arts program set Friday at ISE Lab

12:59 p.m., May 5, 2014--The inaugural University of Delaware Undergraduate Research in the Arts program will be held Friday, May 9, from 2-5 p.m., on the first floor of the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Laboratory (ISE Lab).

Students will present works of sculpture, painting and choreography created during the 2014 academic year, and many of the works will have a connection to science.

Saturn images

Carolyn Porco, leader of the imaging team for NASA's Cassini mission, will present a sweeping tour of the ringed planet at the Vernon Memorial Lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at UD's Clayton Hall.

DENIN internships

The Delaware Environmental Institute will sponsor undergraduate research internships in environmental topics during the 2014-15 academic year.

Deborah Hansen, a UD alumna and education associate in visual and performing arts for the Delaware Department of Education, will give the opening remarks.

A reception will follow the students’ presentations. The event is free and open to the public.
