Students invited to apply for summer 2014 social media intern positions

1:28 p.m., May 19, 2014--The University of Delaware’s Office of Communications and Marketing is seeking applicants to serve as social media interns during summer 2014. 

Social media interns work directly with OCM’s digital team, gaining professional experience in online communications with opportunities to work on a range of projects.

All UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the annual UDid It! employee appreciation picnic, set from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday, June 6, on The Green.

OCM social media interns are responsible for managing official UD social media accounts, such as Blue Hen Says Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Pinterest

Additionally, social media interns help the team create YouTube and Vine videos, contribute to the UD Social Media blog, research and develop strategy for emerging social media platforms, design print and web graphics, help with event planning and promotion and much more. 

Additionally, Chinese-speaking students can apply for the international account coordinator position. The international account coordinator creates content for the University’s Weibo account, covers international events on-campus and researches international social media trends. 

Students interested in interning with the team during summer 2014 can apply by emailing cover letters and resumes to socialmedia@udel.edu by 5 p.m., on Friday, May 30.
