SCPAB to present annual Senior Fling featuring pair of country duos

2:51 p.m., May 6, 2014--The University of Delaware’s Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB) and the University Student Centers will present the annual Senior Fling event from 4-7 p.m., Friday, May 16, in the Trabant University Center. (The located has been moved from the North Green due to the threat of inclement weather.)
This year’s Senior Fling will feature country band Love and Theft and opener Dan + Shay, as well as inflatables, novelties and food. The entire event is free and open to all UD students.

While all UD students are welcome, the event is to celebrate graduating seniors, who have the opportunity to register for a variety of prizes. To do so, seniors can join the alumni community at this website. The deadline to register is 8 a.m., Friday, May 16.
Winners will be announced at 4:15 p.m. and recipients must be present at, and within earshot of, the announcement. Winners must claim their prizes within 30 seconds or they forfeit their prize.
Love and Theft, made up of singer/songwriters Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson, are Academy of Country Music-, Country Music Association- and CMT-nominated. They first hit the scene with their No. 1 single, Runaway.
Their new single, Night That You’ll Never Forget, is the first single from their new album due later this year. Love and Theft is currently working on their next album and can be seen on tour throughout the country.
Dan + Shay is a country duo featuring Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney. Their debut album, Where It All Began, was released in April.
Senior Fling will be co-sponsored by the Cultural Programming Advisory Board (CPAB), University Student Centers, Senior Class Gift, UD Alumni Association, Haven, UDance, and Student Government Association (SGA).
