Gottesfeld to speak at George C.A. Schuit Lecture

12:59 p.m., May 9, 2014--Shimson Gottesfeld, co-founder and chief technology office of CellEra Inc., will be the speaker at the George C.A. Schuit Lecture presented by the University of Delaware Center for Catalytic Science and Technology at 10 a.m., Friday, May 23, in 102 Colburn Lab.

Gottesfeld is a world-renowned expert on fuel cells who has published more than 150 articles and holds more than 20 patents in the field.

July 31: Ragtime and jazz concert

Ragtime xylophone and jazz vibes will highlight a free mallet workshop concert, set at 8 p.m., Friday, July 31, in the Loudis Recital Hall of the Amy E. du Pont Music Building on UD's Newark campus.

Before co-founding CellEra, he led the fuel cell research program at Los Alamos National Laboratory for more than 15 years.

He will speak on “Insights into Fundamentals of Electrocatalysis: Is There a Common ‘Activity Yardstick’ Which Applies to All Fuel Cell Electrocatalysts?”
