Physical therapy doctoral students raise funds for Marquette Challenge
8:42 a.m., March 18, 2014--Doctoral students in the University of Delaware’s physical therapy program will conduct a fundraiser on Tuesday, March 25, at Newark Deli and Bagel to raise money for the Marquette Challenge.
This is a national challenge among more than 150 physical therapy programs to raise money for the Foundation for Physical Therapy. The foundation provides grant funding to new researchers to conduct research that will improve patient care. The UD physical therapy students' goal is to raise $3,000.
Sept. 3: Sculptor to discuss work
Sept. 3-Dec. 7: 'Delaware Awake!'
The fundraiser at Newark Deli and Bagel will be held all day March 25. When customers present a voucher (click here) a portion of the proceeds from that purchase will go toward the Marquette Challenge.
Customers must use cash when purchasing for the UD students to get credit. Physical therapy students will be handing out vouchers to customers outside of Newark Deli and Bagel the day of the event. Vouchers will also be available in the Perkins Student Center and the Trabant University Center.
