Library offers 'Understanding Multimedia File Formats' workshop
9:33 a.m., March 24, 2014--The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop titled “Understanding Multimedia File Formats” on Thursday, April 17.
The workshop will help participants to make informed choices when creating and managing multimedia files.

Participants will learn the difference between a JPEG and GIF, when would it be better to save an audio recording as a WAV or MP3 and how to differentiate between a variety of audio (e.g., MP3, WAV, etc.), graphic (JPEG, GIF, PNG, etc.) and text formats (PDF, etc.).
“Understanding Multimedia File Formats” will be offered from 1:30-3 p.m., Thursday, April 17, in Room B of the Student Multimedia Design Center on the lower level of the Morris Library.
Presenter will be Hannah Lee, assistant librarian, Student Multimedia Design Center.
The workshop is available at no charge and is open to University of Delaware faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this website.
