Emergency test

UD to test emergency notification June 25

7:35 p.m., June 23, 2014--The University of Delaware will test one of its methods of emergency notification at approximately 5 a.m., Wednesday, June 25.

Tested will be the override for the University's homepage. Users will experience a brief interruption of access to the homepage during the test. In the case of an emergency, the standard UD homepage would be replaced with a streamlined page providing details on the situation.

Weather watch

UD officials will be monitoring weather conditions throughout the night in order to make a decision about any changes to the University's operating schedule for Thursday, March 5. The decision is expected to be announced before 5:30 a.m., March 5.

Film, video workshops

The University of Delaware Library will present a workshop on "Introduction to Film and Video Collection Resources" on March 19 and March 25.

The UD Alert System is only used when there is a clear and credible danger to the University community. The system also employs text, email and phone messages, broadcasts on loudspeakers around the campus and override of classroom projection systems.
