Quadcopter flying over campus as part of engineering class project

10:55 a.m., June 26, 2014--A camera-equipped quadcopter can be seen flying over the University of Delaware campus in coming days as part of a project by students in a Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering class.

The quadcopter is expected to be in the air from 3-5 p.m., Friday, June 27, and from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, June 18. The work will be conducted in the vicinity of DuPont Hall and Morris Library along The Green.

RAD self-defense classes

The University of Delaware Police Department is offering Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) basic self-defense classes for University-affiliated women this spring, with classes set to begin in March.

It also flew on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

The focus of the project is aerial imaging.
