Prospective students can use social media to win prizes at Discovery Days

11:21 a.m., July 12, 2013--Prospective students attending University of Delaware Discovery Days on July 13 and July 20 are invited to discover the fun of UD social media.

Visitors who use the hashtag #BlueHenSummer while posting pictures, videos and updates throughout the day to Twitter, Instagram and Vine can stop by one of three social media stations to win a prize.

SAT prep begins Nov. 1

The University of Delaware is offering an intensive test prep course on Sunday afternoons, Nov. 1-22, for high school students who wish to prepare for the SAT.

The three station times and locations are:

  • Bob Carpenter Center lobby, from 10-11:45 a.m.
  • Gore Hall, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • North Green, outside Brown and Sypherd halls, from 11:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m.

Each station has a different prize, so visitors are encouraged to go to each one.

Apple iPads will be available at each station for prospective students who don’t have smartphones. Whether posting about their favorite part of the day or pictures of their new favorite UDairy Creamery ice cream flavor, each student will get a prize for their contribution.

The best #BlueHenSummer tweets, photos and videos will be collected and posted to a Storify story.
