UD announces new blog exploring University's social media presence
1:45 p.m., Jan. 10, 2014--Social media has transformed the way Blue Hens communicate with each other. From Facebook to Pinterest, from prospective students to alumni, the University of Delaware actively engages thousands of people across a variety of platforms each day.
This winter, the digital content team in UD’s Office of Communications and Marketing will launch a social media blog as a forum where the community can explore the campaigns, trends, hashtags and experts propelling UD’s social media.

The social media blog, housed on the social media portal, will feature a new post each Friday. The blog will offer many different perspectives on an assortment of topics related to social media’s integration into higher education.
While many blog posts will come from members of the University’s campus-wide social media group, students, alumni, faculty and staff are all welcome to share their individual expertise. Anyone wishing to submit an idea for a blog post can do so by sending a 100-word abstract to email@example.com.
Blog contributors will address a range of topics, including successful social media campaigns, best practices, higher education digital trends, case studies, behind-the-scenes access and more.
The blog can be accessed through a UDaily story posted each Friday, the blog tab on the social media portal or udsocialmedia.tumblr.com.
