University announces PeopleTools upgrade will occur this weekend
8:32 a.m., Jan. 31, 2014--PeopleTools, the infrastructure and utilities behind the University of Delaware’s UDSIS, is being upgraded the weekend of Feb. 1-2. This update is necessary to stay current with UDSIS critical patches and fixes.
UDSIS will be unavailable from Friday, Jan. 31, at 5 p.m., until 5 a.m., Monday, Feb. 3.

After the upgrade, all clients must clear their cache before entering UDSIS. If you do not clear your cache, your home screen will not appear as you normally see it.

Some changes to expect:
- Peoplesoft is now enforcing the html-recommended navigation menu practice that requires clients to click a “parent” menu item before sub-menus will appear. You can no longer “hover” over the parent item to reveal sub-menus. This feature cannot be changed.
- Staff members who need to enter data on UDSIS screens may have difficulty using Internet Explorer. If you cannot use your mouse to place the cursor in a data entry field, IT recommends switching to Firefox or Chrome, which do not have this problem.
- Some page links now appear in a different location on the screen. Some buttons may appear distorted, and these will be fixed soon in an upcoming patch.
This new version of PeopleTools adds increased functionality to assist UDSIS clients with daily tasks.
