2014 Alumni Weekend website is live; Hens can plan ahead
1:16 p.m., Feb. 26, 2014--The 2014 University of Delaware Alumni Weekend website is now live.
With Alumni Weekend in 100 days and registration opening in less than three weeks, now is the time to preview the fun-packed three-day schedule on the website and make plans for the weekend of June 6-8, an Office of Alumni Relations representative said.

And for Blue Hens who plan to attend and want to encourage others to do likewise, now is also the time to “call, text, iMessage, tweet, tag, email, FaceTime, Skype, and Facebook message your alumni friends” about the website, the representative added.
Why plan ahead?
Planning for Alumni Weekend is crucial because many events quickly sell out.
Before registration opens, alumni will be able to plan which tent they want to be under during Mug Night. This year, the Blue Tent will feature the band Kristen and the Noise and the Gold Tent will feature Love Seed Mama Jump.
For those who have a favorite but aren’t sure which their friends will choose, there is time now to discuss the tent of choice.
Get the full campus experience
A popular feature of Alumni Weekend is the opportunity to stay in the residence halls. Laird Campus rooms and the new East Campus residence halls, Redding and Gilbert, will be available.
Alumni are encouraged to plan ahead with friends to ensure the opportunity to relive the dorm-life experience by staying together.
The Blue Hen Bash, a new feature to the weekend, is open to all alumni -- including the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th and 50th reunion classes -- on Saturday night.
Featuring dueling pianos, drink tickets and light fare, now is the time for those who plan to attend to ensure they meet up with fellow alumni at the Blue Hen Bash in the newly renovated Perkins Student Center lounge.
Many questions arise in preparations for the weekend so previewing the website now is strongly encouraged.
Answers to general questions can be found on the website under the Q&A tab.
“Not sure if your affinity organization is hosting a reunion? Check out the website,” the Alumni Relations representative said. “Not sure which of your friends will be traveling to campus for the weekend? The Who’s Coming tab will list all attendees who have registered once registration opens.”
