Feb. 27: Troy Roness to speak

Active Minds sets National Eating Disorders Awareness Week speaker


1:55 p.m., Feb. 20, 2014--Active Minds at the University of Delaware will host guest speaker Troy Roness on Thursday, Feb. 27, as it marks National Eating Disorders Awareness Week.

Roness will speak at 7 p.m. in 120 Smith Hall.

Dec. 1: 'Alice' manuscript

A talk by August A. Imholtz Jr. marking the 150th anniversary of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" will be held at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Class of 1941 Lecture Room in the Morris Library on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

Dec. 2: UD Night at Winterthur

University of Delaware students, faculty and staff are invited to join in the winter festivities at UD Night at Yuletide at Winterthur from 4:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Roness is a nationally known writer, advocate and educator for eating disorders, recovery, faith, LGBT issues and healthy body image. He writes a column for the Huffington Post and blogs for PBS’ This Emotional Life.

As part of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, Feb. 24-28, Active Minds will have informational kiosks in the Trabant University Center.
