Dec. 4: 'Carols for the University'
Department of Music 'Carols' event features Jefferson Pipe Organ
11:01 a.m., Dec. 2, 2013--The University of Delaware Department of Music has announced the return of “Carols for the University,” a free lunchtime concert featuring the Jefferson Pipe Organ, at noon, Wednesday, Dec. 4, in Bayard Sharp Hall.
The campus community is invited to celebrate the end of the semester and the beginning of the holiday season with music played on the Jefferson Pipe Organ and brass instruments.

Audiences are invited to bring a lunch and join in a sing-along during the free concert.
The “Carols for the University” concert returns as part of the department’s Music for A While, a new series of occasional programs featuring the Jefferson Pipe Organ in Bayard Sharp Hall. The series title comes from the poet John Dryden, who wrote, “Music for a while … Shall all your cares beguile.”
The programs will be held on selected weekdays at noon and will last from 30-40 minutes.
