Campus community urged to take caution on flooded roadways

8:17 a.m., Aug. 13, 2013--The University of Delaware campus community is urged to take caution due to flooded roadways that resulted from the morning storm.

The storm has caused the closing of several streets around the campus.

2014 campaign

UD's United Way employee fundraising campaign kicks off Oct. 20 and will run through Dec. 5.

IT Tech Fair

UD faculty and staff members are invited to attend the 2014 UD Tech Fair on Oct. 28 in the Trabant University Center to explore new technology, while enjoying a light lunch and entering a raffle for an iPad and other door prizes.

UD Police urge drivers to use caution while on the road this morning, and warn that they should not drive into any areas of standing water.

At this time, South College Avenue at Delaware Avenue is shut down due to flooding.

Newark Police report that Paper Mill Road has reopened but note that many major intersections remain without power.

Also, Kirkwood Highway is closed between Possum Park Road and Polly Drummond Hill Road due to flooding and high water is reported on Route 72 at the I-95 overpass, which also has been closed.
