RefWorks workshops
Library offers RefWorks workshops in September, October
1:26 p.m., Aug. 28, 2013--The University of Delaware Library will present three different workshops related to RefWorks during the fall semester.
RefWorks, a web-based citation management tool provided by the library, is used to import and organize citations and generate bibliographies or reference lists. RefWorks is available from the Library Databases page.

The “Introduction to RefWorks” workshop covers setting up an account, exporting citations from research databases, managing citations, creating bibliographies and more.
The “RefWorks: Beyond the Basics” workshop provides additional information about exporting references from research databases and organizing references. It also includes using the Write-N-Cite feature to insert in-text citations as well as editing in-text citations.
The “Citing Using APA Style and RefWorks” workshop covers using RefWorks with the American Psychological Association (APA) citation style.
“Introduction to RefWorks” will be offered at two times, on Sept. 19 and Oct. 16.
The session on Thursday, Sept. 19, will meet from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Library Instruction Room (116A) on the first floor of Morris Library. Presenters will be Dianna McKellar and Carol Rudisell, librarians in the Reference and Instructional Services Department.
The session on Wednesday, Oct. 16, will meet from 10-11:30 a.m., also in the Library Instruction Room. McKellar and Rudisell will be the presenters.
“RefWorks: Beyond the Basics” will be offered on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 2-3:30 p.m., in the Library Instruction Room. Presenters will be William Simpson and Rebecca Knight, associate librarians in the Reference and Instructional Services Department.
“Citing Using APA Style and RefWorks” will be offered on Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 2-4 p.m., in the Library Instruction Room. Knight will be the presenter.
These workshops are available at no charge and are open to UD faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. Online registration is available at this website.
