UD seniors invited to submit nominations for Homecoming Court

8:15 a.m., Aug. 27, 2013--Seniors at the University of Delaware are invited to submit nominations for the 2013 Homecoming court.

UD’s Office of Alumni Relations and the Student Homecoming Committee are looking for two seniors who embrace UD spirit and embody the UD brand to be the next Homecoming king and queen.

UD ADVANCE director

Emily Bonistall Postel, a sociologist and former president of the Graduate Student Government at the University of Delaware, has been named director of the UD ADVANCE Institute.

Learning about community

UD's Laboratory Preschool created a social studies curriculum that engaged students by creating a model of Newark's Main Street.

Students may nominate themselves or friends for this honor. Full application, guidelines and requirements are available on the Homecoming Court website.

Deadline for applications, videos and signatures is Friday, Sept. 13, so those who plan to nominate a candidate should do so promptly. 

The Homecoming king and queen election, in which students can vote for their favorite nominees online through the Homecoming website, will be open for one day only on Oct. 11. The Homecoming king and queen will be crowned at the Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 12.
