Change UD password

UDelNet password must be changed if it was created before April 8, 2014

8:57 a.m., April 25, 2014--As announced on April 9, the University of Delaware is requiring that all members of the University community change their UDelNet passwords as part of UD’s response to the Heartbleed security vulnerability.

As of April 23, over 14,500 people — including 3,600 employees and 8,300 undergraduate students — have done so.

UD's Photographic Services department is seeking graduates wearing their caps and gowns for a short photography session at 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, on the South Green.

“We thank those people who have conscientiously changed their passwords,” said Karl Hassler, associate director for IT systems security, IT Network and Systems Services. “But there are over 16,000 other people with passwords created before April 8, 2014, that must change their UDelNet passwords, too.”

So as not to disrupt student registration for the fall semester, the University is delaying measures that will force password changes.

“By the end of May, students, faculty, staff, and other holders of a UDelNet ID attempting to log in with passwords created before April 8 will be forced to create a new password at the UD Network page,” Hassler said.

You can select a new password by logging in to
