May 1: Medical School Fair
Medical School Fair to host admissions representatives, provide information
12:49 p.m., April 30, 2014--The College of Arts and Sciences and the registered student organization Making Doctors will host the fourth annual Medical School Fair at the University of Delaware from noon-4 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, in Multipurpose Room A of the Trabant University Center.
Admissions representatives from local medical schools including Jefferson Medical College, University of Maryland School of Medicine, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine will be available to talk to UD students on a one-on-one basis.
Feb. 9-24: 'Galileo: 400 Years'
Feb. 9: Public policy issues
Representatives from military programs will also be in attendance to provide information about combining medical school with service to the military.
"The event is truly an invaluable one for UD’s pre-medical students,” says Patrick Kukulich, president of Making Doctors and co-coordinator of the Medical School Fair for the past three years. “Knowing how complex the whole process of preparing to apply to medical school is, this event offers students the opportunity at a very early stage in their application process to talk to representatives in person and ask any question they may have. The networking experience is just incredible.”
Information about MCAT Preparation and various related UD programs, including the Medical Scholars Program, will also be provided.
The event is free and open to all UD students.
