Haven announces participation in National Day of Silence


8:07 a.m., April 11, 2014--Haven, the University of Delaware's only LGBTQ registered student organization, will honor individuals who have been victims of bullying and harassment by participating in National Day of Silence on Friday, April 11.

On Friday, members of Haven's executive board will be standing outside on the patio of the Trabant University Center in silence to draw attention to the people who are silenced every day due to anti-LGBTQ bullying.

Dec. 1: 'Alice' manuscript

A talk by August A. Imholtz Jr. marking the 150th anniversary of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" will be held at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, in the Class of 1941 Lecture Room in the Morris Library on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

Dec. 2: UD Night at Winterthur

University of Delaware students, faculty and staff are invited to join in the winter festivities at UD Night at Yuletide at Winterthur from 4:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 2.

The Day of Silence is a nationwide program of the LGBTQ advocacy group GLSEN.

Haven continues its tradition of standing in solidarity with LGBTQ students across the country."
