Haven announces participation in National Day of Silence

8:07 a.m., April 11, 2014--Haven, the University of Delaware's only LGBTQ registered student organization, will honor individuals who have been victims of bullying and harassment by participating in National Day of Silence on Friday, April 11.

On Friday, members of Haven's executive board will be standing outside on the patio of the Trabant University Center in silence to draw attention to the people who are silenced every day due to anti-LGBTQ bullying. 

Events Stories

May 27: Adelante, Kente Stole ceremonies

The University of Delaware will hold the Adelante graduation ceremony for Latino/Hispanic students and the Kente Stole graduation ceremony for black students, both on Friday, May 27.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

The Day of Silence is a nationwide program of the LGBTQ advocacy group GLSEN.

Haven continues its tradition of standing in solidarity with LGBTQ students across the country."
