Ten awards are available with preference given to faculty whose scholarship contributes to the Area Studies programs (African, Asian, European, Islamic, Jewish, and Latin American and Iberian). The award period runs from June 1, 2014-May 31, 2015.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday, April 15. All grant recipients are expected to present their research results as part of a CGAS/IGS Global and Area Studies Lecture Series.
Funds may be used for travel, research costs, salary, stipends, and other expenses directly related to the proposed activities. No cost share is required. Faculty teams may apply for a joint award.
More information about submission requirements can be found here.
Send applications via email to Bess Davis. A joint CGAS/IGS faculty committee will review the proposals and make recommendations.
Questions should be addressed to Julio Carrión, director of CGAS. Grant recipients will be notified by Friday, April 25.
