1:02 p.m., April 23, 2014--Sports journalist and social critic Stephen A. Smith will present a talk titled “Adversity: Keep Your Head in the Game” at 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 12, in Mitchell Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

Smith is a commentator and analyst for ESPN First Take and ESPN Radio, and has appeared on numerous news-oriented programs including Morning Joe, Hardball and Hannity to offer his views on issues relating to race, politics and current events.

The University of Delaware's National Agenda speaker series will present CNN Digital national political reporter Peter Hamby at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1, in Mitchell Hall.

Oct. 1-Dec. 19: 'Dylan Thomas at 100'

The University of Delaware has announced the exhibition "Dylan Thomas at 100," which will be on view in the Morris Library Information Room from Wednesday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Dec. 19.

Tickets are free to members of the UD campus community, with a limit of two person, and $5 for the general public.

Tickets will be available beginning Monday, April 28, at UD box offices. For ticket information, call 302-831-4012.

The talk is being presented by UD’s Cultural Programming Advisory Board with co-sponsors the Center for Black Culture, Student Services for Athletes, the Career Services Center and the Department of Communication.
