UD Police on social media
New Facebook page, live 'tweet-along' mark UDPD's latest social media efforts
1:29 p.m., Sept. 11, 2012--Students and their families can now find the latest campus safety and crime updates from University of Delaware Police on Facebook.
In addition to the UD Police Twitter account, which was launched during the 2011-12 academic year, officers say the new Facebook page is a reliable source of information about crime trends, recent arrests, and ways for Blue Hens to stay safe on campus.

Tweet-Along
For those who have wanted to do a ride along with UDPD, you can thanks to Twitter.
On Friday, Sept. 14, University Police invite followers to join them for a live “tweet-along.” Between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m., the UD Police Twitter account will be constantly updated with live tweets, pictures and videos as officers patrol campus.
A UDPD representative says the idea was inspired by the Arlington (Texas) Police Department, which holds a live “tweet-along” for more than 3,000 of its Twitter followers every other week.
