Construction workers mark 9/11 anniversary with flag, bagpipes
4:28 p.m., Sept. 11, 2012--Construction workers building the University of Delaware’s new east campus residence hall complex offered a special 9/11 observance to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
A carpenter played Amazing Grace on the bagpipe atop a building, said David Singleton, UD vice president for facilities.

As it neared time for the processional to open the University of Delaware Commencement ceremonies, graduating students and faculty members shared their feelings about what the event means to them.
Doctoral hooding
It was a day of triumph, cheers and collective relief as more than 160 students from 21 nations participated in the University of Delaware's Doctoral Hooding Convocation held Friday morning on The Green.
Nearby, ironworkers hoisted a United States flag atop Building A.
