Campus memorial service set Sept. 25 for Rose Mayr
3:24 p.m., Sept. 21, 2012--A campus memorial service for Rose Mayr will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 25, in Clayton Hall on the University of Delaware's north campus.
Ms. Mayr, a junior nursing major at the University, died Aug. 21 in a train accident in Ellicott City, Md. She was 19.

Alumni open festivities
A procession featuring alumni opened the University of Delaware's 164th Commencement ceremony.
Honorary degrees
Three distinguished individuals were recognized with honorary degrees during the University of Delaware's 164th Commencement ceremonies.
Organizers will be selling bracelets for $3 at the service, and the proceeds will go to a memorial for Ms. Mayr.
