Sept. 22: Longwood natural areas tour
Tour to look at ecological restoration of Longwood Gardens natural areas
10:21 a.m., Sept. 19, 2012--A field trip to tour ecological restoration of the natural areas of Longwood Gardens will be held at 8:45 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 22.
The field trip is co-sponsored by the Longwood Graduate Program in Public Horticulture at the University of Delaware and the Society of Natural History of Delaware.

The trip will be led by Tom Brightman, who manages the natural areas for Longwood; Scott Quitel, principal ecologist with Applied Ecological Sciences; and Dan Chieco and Rose Mannion, Wells Appel landscape architects.
Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes for the two-hour trip. Meet at the corner of old Route 52 and Web Barn Lane.
