UD FMLA workshop to focus on 'Separating Truth from Myths'

8:54 a.m., Sept. 17, 2012--The University of Delaware Office of Human Resources' Employee Education and Development (EED) group is sponsoring a workshop for managers, "FMLA and UD – Separating the Truth from the Myths.”

The workshop will take place from 10-11:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 20, in Room 261 in 413 Academy Street, home of the Office of Human Resources.

During this session, participants will learn about the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Discussion will include how to coordinate FMLA with the ADA, worker’s compensation and other overlapping legislation.

Facilitating the workshop will be Hannah Messner, senior human resources generalist in the Office of Human Resources. Messner has conducted training seminars on FMLA, ADA, performance accountability, disciplinary action and workplace investigations.
