One aspect of the 2012 celebration was a photo contest that concluded on College Colors Day, Aug. 31.
The group photo of Residence Life staff was chosen from user-submitted votes on the College Colors Day Facebook page, in the “at work” section, where the photo is also featured.
Along with the photograph submission, a short story about the photo was also required.
Jacob Schwarzinger, communications specialist in Residence Life who took and submitted the photo, shared information about UD resident assistant (RA) training in the weeks leading up to the start of classes.
During training, RAs are connected to campus resources, learn how to best connect residence hall students to campus engagement opportunities and develop strategies to create the best student experience possible, all while being as enthusiastic as can be about the UD experience.
