Student proposals sought
President's Diversity Initiative seeks student-inspired projects
7:02 p.m., Sept. 17, 2012--The President's Diversity Initiative is seeking proposals for student-inspired projects that help build and support a diverse, inclusive and welcoming campus climate for all.
"This is an opportunity for students to learn about the rich and multiple experiences and viewpoints that come from embracing diversity as an important value on our campus," said Margaret Andersen, executive director of the President's Diversity Initiative. "We look forward to seeing some innovative and creative ideas that will bring students together across diverse backgrounds."

Priority will be given to projects that involve collaboration and have the potential for a longer-term impact toward making the campus climate welcoming and supportive for everyone.
The President's Diversity Initiative will fund up to five student projects, each to a maximum of $500. Proposals are welcome from any undergraduate or graduate student, student organization or student group, including clubs, residence halls, sororities, fraternities and honor societies.
Deadline for proposals is Oct. 12.
