“The Women’s Caucus is energized and committed to working with the UD community to increase gender equality on campus. The board is working very hard to meet with key stakeholders across campus in a productive dialogue,” stated Helga Huntley, assistant research professor, marine science and policy, and the chair of the Publications Subcommittee. “I am impressed and grateful for the diversity of talents and expertise on our board. These 12 women work tirelessly for the caucus.”
The Women’s Caucus spent its first year building relationships with other caucuses within the Diversity and Equity Commission and has started conversations with campus leaders to map out feasible routes for effecting positive change for women who work at the University. The Women’s Caucus is passionate about improving access to information for UD women; its website includes a list of resources for women who work at UD, with information about leave policies, childcare, and related issues.
The Women’s Caucus fall general meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 12:30 p.m., in the Trabant University Center, Room 206. All women who work at UD are invited to attend to hear about the work the Women’s Caucus is doing. Drinks and dessert will be provided; please bring lunch.
