Nov. 2: Roundtable on Teaching
First Friday Roundtable on Teaching to focus on peer tutoring
1:23 p.m., Oct. 22, 2012--The First Friday Roundtable on Teaching, a collaborative University of Delaware program aimed at highlighting varied approaches of teaching, learning and assessment practices, will hold its second event on Friday, Nov. 2.
The roundtable session, titled “Peer and Near-Peer Tutoring at UD,” will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. in 208 Gore Hall and will feature a panel of student mentors from across campus.
New faculty members are encouraged to attend, but all are welcome. Registration can be found online.
The fall events are focused on teaching topics identified by new UD faculty while the three spring events will focus broadly on enhancing teaching and improving student learning and assessment.
Future sessions, with links to register, can be found on the Center for Teaching and Assessment of Learning calendar.
The First Friday roundtables are designed and sponsored through a collaboration of Academic Technology Services, the Institute for Transforming Undergraduate Education and the Center for Teaching and Assessment of Learning.
