SCPAB to show 'The Amazing Spider-Man' at Blue Hens Madness

9:33 a.m., Oct. 10, 2012--The Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB), a registered student organization at the University of Delaware, is co-sponsoring Blue Hens Madness on Friday, Oct. 12. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Bob Carpenter Center and doors will open at 6:45.

At the end of the event, SCPAB will show The Amazing Spider-Man for free at the Bob Carpenter Center at 9 p.m. Due to this event, The Amazing Spider-Man, which was previously scheduled to play at the Trabant University Center Theatre on Friday, Oct. 12, at 7:30 p.m., will be relocated to the Bob Carpenter Center.

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

As planned on the SCPAB films schedule, The Amazing Spider-Man will be shown at the Trabant Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $3. 

Blue Hens Madness is a basketball-themed event, kicking off the 2012-13 season. Admission to this event is free. Students are asked to register beforehand online.

There will be buses leaving from Laird Campus, Perkins, and Rodney and Dickinson throughout the evening for students who want to attend the showing of the film.
